Aluminum Boats/Jon Boats
« on: December 04, 2014, 06:51:04 PM »
Hey y'all,
So today while I was trying to go duck hunting, my sevylor inflatable boat floated for the last time. I am in the market for an aluminum boat or jon boat. I want a 10 or 12 footer and don't want to break the bank. Anybody got any recommendations? Thanks

Depend on what you hunt, shallower water a flat bottom, deeper water a v boat. Also is it wind where you hunt, my experience is a flat bottom is nice but when it gets windy,IT SUCKS! A little boat like that you should be able to find cheap. Theres a few over here in the moses Lake CL
Is it waterfowl season yet..............

I would look at a 12' vee hull.  You can get one on CL if you watch it for $500-$1,000.  Sometime you see them for less, but they don't last long.  Good starter for the river.  If you are hunting big water, a bigger boat is recommended.  I bring the big boat and tow a smaller one in order to get back into the grass and hidden.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

Do you need one with a motor or just the boat?
