Went up joe watt this last wknd. old people tracks old veichle tracks and it took me about 20 mins to get up to the top flats and there were 2 camps already set up looked like they had been there for days. usualy between myself my kids and my buddies we pick up around 20 horns or so in 5 days, this yeay we picked up 5 freakin 5. The game department needs to step it up a notch since horn hunting has gotten to be such a money maker for the guys that dont have a real job and all they want to do is rape the woods for all its natural resources and make money off of it. I hate to take my kids out and have them not find anything its a real demotivator for them, but they still have a good time i suppose.

Were the camps within the winter boundary?  I was told the back roads such as taneum were open to travel.  I expected some people had already walked the country west and north of the boundary. You know what everyone says about the lack of snow and how the elk scattered.  I was frustrated cause i should have been first to walk across those great open flats and there was nothing, not even a rag horn, and a thousand elk tracks all over the ground.

Camps were for shure inside the boundary. i should have got some license plate numbers but i just wanted to find some sheds  :bash: :bash: :bash:

The winter closure area in only below the 3,000 foot elevation so in years were there's now snow people come in from above and pick them up , its been that way since day one

Never heard of that before in my life, winter closeure area is a winter closeure area ohterwise what is the point of the boundary and locking the gates
