Sounds like the young man has some good guides, good luck tomorrow, let me know if there's anything else you might need.

Make sure he pulls those whistlers and gets them polished up! A little time simmering in a pan of water to soften the tissue. Scrape it off with a thumb nail. Then a few days in a pants pocket and they should be looking good!

Congrats once again to all involved! Looking forward to pictures!

Great suggestion h20.  Shane, groundhog, or pinetar, could I impose on you to see if the young man would accept a donation of a skull mount on some killer old barn boards?  You can PM or call me at 485-1910.  I am picking up some taxidermy work in Brewster on the 22nd if that would work and could delivery it back when done.

Many thanks to the guys who made this happen.  Heartwarming.

WOW!!! What a great experience. We have a huge family, I have been involved in more kids getting animals than you could imagine. This might be the highlight of all. One of the coolest, nicest kids I have ever had the experience to be on a hunt with. Grandpa, Mom, Dad and Shane, you have raised this guy the right way and should be very proud of this young man.

Thank you Shane (mhbrewster71) for making this happen, you are the man behind this and arranged it all! And Thank You Brennan, it was a real pleasure meeting you and I look forward to our next hunt together.

I will let them tell the story and provide you all with pics!

Papaonthemountain - Thank you for the great offer. PM mhbrewster71 (Shane) as I'm sure he will take you up on that offer.
