A lot of fires over the past years. but there is still some area with good cover, food and a water source! Private land is the key though. sounds like you got the upper hand already! throw out some trail cameras. look for beaten down paths. bedding areas, see what's out there!
Interesting,is access a pain in the rear? It's a Co workers in laws. We're going this week and in 2 weeks hopefully get some scouting in. Anyone ever see elk ?

If anyone has any info on public land or a landowner who would like a youth hunter to take a doe off their property it would be very helpful! Wanting him to take something this year after his first year not getting one.Thank you!
