After a two year absence of hunting with my daughter (She got married three years ago and moved away to Idaho, then had a baby last year) we finally got back together for a day and a half of hunting. We did managed to push this toad out of a canyon where she connected with her 270win. It was the first time she ever took a running shot, but she sure made it count!
I was very surprised at a couple of aspects regarding hunting in Idaho.
1. I never saw anyone off their lifted go-carts pushing brush.
2. Areas that were closed to ATV traffic were still full of those Jacked up go-carts or even pickup trucks running back and forth over the ridges. It might be just me, but the vast majority of those we saw hunting were road hunters only; quad or truck. I guess that's why we found this old guy so easily. A great way to get back in the field with my daughter.
Now I'm back to the wet side to spend as much time as possible with my Son. Two hunting young adults with wonderful spouses and now three Grandkids. If I have to keep getting old, at least it's in very good company!
