My biggest piece of advice is patience...  Patience has let me see some incredible animals.  I have sat in a tree stand for 11 hours straight.  My reward?  A missed shot on a 6 x 7 whitetail.  Made my whole year to see that buck.
Introduce someone new to hunting this year.

Unless you smell like a tree, mind your wind!  Also, a Keystone or two back at camp always seems to bring good luck.

1. Have Patience and perseverance!
2. Hunt slowly and use you binos alot.
3. Take a tip from the Boy Scouts.... "Be Prepared".  Use good equipment and clothing.  Organize it and take care of it.
4. Have fun.... its not a contest.

Modern season...haven't done a modern season since I lived in Alaska.
Comments all seem to be on base. Patience is the rule in any hunting fishing acitvity. If you are out there for killing a fish or animal go to a farm and buy a cow.

Cigars are great in camp. I don't indulge in alcoholic drinks either but I do not mind if my friends indulge in camp and the day is over for them otherwise leave the booze alone.
