We came out of Anatone up Mountain View and almost made the loop to Troy couple slides at saddle
butte. The Jeeps came up out of Dayton and Pomeroy also. The top has about 1 1/2 to 2 foot of snow.

Anyone know if you can get to the top from the Grouse Flats side?
That is a big negative ghost rider!!  Snow blocks the road just past dry camp.

How far past dry camp?  A week ago any two wheel drive on the planet could make it no problem to dry camp.
yes, to dry camp from grouse creek rd is clear, if we are talking about the dry camp just across from the road that goes up to the towers.  Past that about 1/4 mile or so it get blocked, you can’t make it to the horse camp in the saddle.
Just drove up there. You can get almost a mile from Dry camp now. Quads are running over the 3 or 4 snow banks. So it won’t be too much longer before it’s open.

bet I passed you, I’m in a full size gmc, silver w canopy.  Or you were the guy who I waved at from the trail.

Not sure I saw you.  We were driving a grey Chevy Colorado.   At Dry camp there was a dodge truck parked with no canopy.  Then on the way back down we talked to two bear hunters pulling a horse trailer.  Can't remember what kind of truck.

Anyone know if Teepee spring up past Godman is a viable source of water?  Thinking about hoofing it in past the snow.

Any place there is snow there is water.  Especially with the hot weather this weekend.  The drifts I have been seeing the last several trips have a steady flow of water coming out the downhill side.

Just got back and you can drive to teepee if you had a chainsaw you'll be able to get to the trailhead.  We hiked in on friday and snow kept of from getting much past godman.   After today, one small snowdrift that will be gone in a day or two.

How about now?  Can a guy make it from pomeroy to Troy in a full size truck? My future son in law is headed over for one last trip by himself.

Thanks, now just need to decide which route is fastest to take from west side to 3 forks trail head??  Pomeroy to 3 forks, Anatone to top then to 3 forks, or just go down the canyon to grouse creek?
