Bows in hot weather
« on: September 04, 2020, 09:01:49 PM »
Hey guys looking for opinions on bows in back if truck. 1 of my daughters bows is in a soft case the other in a Plano type hard case.
We are heading to N.E Washington  was going to put them in the cab of truck for trip due to the heat right idea or would they be ok in back of open truck bed?

Don’t know the right answer but heat or cold I keep mine in the cab. Then again I don’t keep it in a case most of the time.

I think you will do just fine having them in the back of the truck bed. I've never had any issues. Keep us posted. Good luck on this year's hunt and enjoy!

Heat is probably the #1 destroyer of bows. But more like super hot, left in the cab of a vehicle on a sunny hot day when it gets well above 120 Inside the vehicle. Not 90 degrees or so. The strings can stretch and the limbs can fail.

Thank you and that's what I always heard but not sure what was considered too hot
