I have a propane lantern but have been using LED battery lights more and more and at some point won't bother with the mantles and propane.

small LED lights are more than enough to light a tent. We have a few of those little little switch looking lights that we put in a few spots and they work well. Used to run a propane lantern and still have it but those little lights are dang bright

LED lights, battery powered.

Same as all the above. Run a mix of a few propane lights off a “tree” on a 5 gallon tank and have several hoses, keeps the cook shack bright. Then have a few leds in the sleeping tent and outside. If going with propane be sure to pack extra mantels and I mean like half a dozen or so. Never brought a flooring situation with us other than some painters canvas tarps, nice and light and can easily carry outside to shake off if needed.

Used to use propane lanterns then found a LED lantern that puts out 1750 lumens at the dollar store

We use led light bars run to a switch then to a 12v battery. Way better lighting then a propane lantern and silent. We lay down plastic then carpet for sleeping tent, gravel only for cook tent
