Wifes first solo sit
«
on:
November 23, 2020, 11:23:22 AM »
Hello fellow hunters. Here is a video that my wife took during her first sit on a pond jump. Normally I set up and my wife and kids and dogs wait for me to get into position and then flush. Well she got tired of wrangling kids and dogs and so wanted to do the shoot. Absolutely OK with that! Here is what happened...couple things to help explain it.
1. She is right handed, but left eye dominate. Needed to negotiate that part and figure which way to go.
2. We've all done it, and we've all felt the same way.

Classic. That brought a smile to my face. Sucks about the birds though!

Ha, yeah. It was terrible. I felt so bad. She can certainly do better, and has. There were about 50 of them....I was like shoot. SHOOT, SHOOT! What the heck happened. Then the video. Smooth. real smooth.
And oh so funny.

That is fantastic.
We all learned at some point. Most of us just didnt catch it on video.
Thank you.

I love her. That was awesome. She was going to put extra shells in her bra. Made me laugh so hard. She is very comfortable in her own skin and that comes across in only 3 minutes. Great stuff.

Yes, I'm proud of her. She really isn't as bad as it looks, but she sure did screw the pooch on that one.
And then the 2 side shots with 3" mags...just adds to it.

Yes, she’s super funny. Filled my tag with a true trophy. Now she Really wants her own gun. Apparently my 28 year old 870 express doesn’t fit her needs. Any suggestions on a woman’s fit shotgun? She wants the 12 but not sure that she needs the 3.5” chamber. Wish they still cost $199.99. Ah, the days.

Great video, as for her own shotgun get a auto loader. Lots of good used ones out on the market. I also send a PM with some shooting suggestions and tips, I'm a certified shotgun instructor. Have fun

great video.
An over/under might be a good option if she plans to move between right/left handed shooting as she adapts to the eye dominance issue.
