Wolf, Hybrid or Coyote
« on: April 21, 2021, 12:51:46 AM »
I think its a young wolf, possibly a hybrid. Many have told me its a coyote. Body is way too big to be a coyote as far as I am concerned. It does seem to have a smallish head which seems odd, but looking to see what others think.

I hate to say it but i agree, looks like a young wolf. Chest size and head shape are the indicators for me.

I’ve shot some huge coyotes and they still don’t have a big barrel chest like that or that thick of legs. I would guess wolf as well.

Wolf, definitely thick in the body and coyotes have a more even coloration, not as bi-colored as that animal.
Head shape/size is hard due to the angle.

It does have a pretty stout looking body, but that could be due to it having a very prime fur coat. I zoomed in on it's muzzle, and it doesn't look quite thick and stout enough to be a wolf.

I would vote wolf as well.  Same as the rest, body shape doesn't look like a coyote to me.

Very odd looking muzzle on him for a Wolf. Body definitely says  Wolf but that snout just doesn't look right.

Without DNA nobody knows what it is. It is definitely not a coyote though.
