newport OR tuna fishing charter?
« on: June 10, 2024, 08:42:27 AM »
Can anyone recommend a tuna charter out of the Newport/Waldport OR area?  I'll be there in July and would like to get out for a day.  We are also hoping to get the family out for a half day rockfish/crab trip.

Thanks!
Bart

When? Tuna generally don’t start being in range until
Late July. But varies every year.

There should be some fish starting to get caught within 70 miles by then.

El jefe I believe is out of Tillamook.  It's a legit tuna killing machine.  And a top notch outfit to boot.

For rockfish/crab or even salmon, halibut, ling go with Kevin.  But I don't think he does tuna...

I am going hali fishing with him out of Newport later this month.

You will never shoot a camp bull by spending all your time hunting in the woods.
