Awesome! Congratz on the draws! I know regardless of outcome you will have great memories. But I wish the best of luck and am rooting for bloody arrows and short bloodtrails for you both!
@blackveltbowhunter Thanks man. Season opens a few days before swakane. We will be camping in our same spot at swakane and driving to Entiat each day. We will hunt one or two days of the 7 day swakane season possibly. Will you be around this year?

I wish!! Ever since running into ya on the mountain I have wanted to swing by your camp and swap some stories around a fire. Unfortunately my schedule doesn't look good for it this season, but if I do find myself in the area I will stop in.

Congrats on the draw and best of luck to you both.  I drew the archery tag last year and had a blast.  Amazing hunt, make the most of it.  Looking forward to the stories and pics.

Depending on how long you are up there during the hunt, you are welcome to buzz down into town for a shower and laundry if you need. I am in Wenatchee

Thanks man.  I think we have a place lined up but may take you up on that if we get in a bind.

Second archery buck at 14 and first bull elk at 14 also. The kid knows how to fill the freezer. She totally gets it from her mother. I never hunted until we started dating,” If this is gonna work you're going to have to come hunting with me” is what she said in October of 1995.

Well it is almost go time.  Started loading up the wall tent and camping gear this weekend.  Daughter has the entire season off of school so we should be good to go.

The youngest daughter threw us a bit of a curve ball, her volleyball team made the 4A state volleyball championships. They play on Friday and if they win they play again Saturday the day I was going to setup camp.  Hunt starts on Sunday.  Setup is now fluid as we wait to see how they do in the tournament.

I think we are going to have some long days of watching volleyball and then be setting up camp in the dark.

We will make it work.  Nobody said it would be easy, they said it would be worth it.

Hope to keep you all posted as we go along.  Weather looks like it will be getting cold just in time but I don't think there is any snow left with the temps we have had the past week.

I am sure it will all work out.

Good luck to you and both your daughters! I’ll be over there the 24-28th glassing and then helping a friend in Manson. I’ll be staying at my folks place in town. If you need anything or need a hand shoot me a message!

Couple more of her archery bucks. Hoping to get her a mature 4x4 but she is more about filling tags. I’ll have to hold her bow to get her to be patient.

For sure. The youngest certainly tossed a monkey wrench into this one. No matter what they are one of the top 16 teams in the state. 5’-6” tall starting outside hitter on a 4A team is impressive. She plays bigger than she is.

It will all work out. It may wear us thin but the memories will last a lifetime.
