I’m hoping to get it back, I’ve left a few messages, but haven’t heard anything. I’ll wait till the holidays are over then go after it with a vengeance. The thing is, I can’t say a bad thing about his work, it’s some of the best. Over the years I have used 3 or 4 taxis and I expect a year turnaround, 4-5 years is crazy..

Reading all this makes me feel good about getting my 2021 spring bear rug in 19 months.    Killed & delivered to taxidermist June 4th and will be shipping out right after Christmas.  Can't wait to see it.

Same here.  My dad's buck was dropped off over 6 years ago.
However, no matter how good the work is that's not good work.

The nightmare is over, picked up the last of 3 bucks that I dropped off 5 years ago. Good luck to everyone still waiting.

No kidding. Sucks that he had to go through this. But very glad he got his animals back. May be worth having them redone when time and money permits if the work is too bad!

Wow never thought anyone would get an animal back from this guy. I’m on year 3 I think? It’s been so long I don’t even remember. Did you mention that it took 5 years?

Yeah, 5 years and over 3 years of text messages that I still have on my phone.. the cape we sent over for my sons buck was a whitetail that had a double white throat patch, the mount doesn’t have that…..

Glad you got your deer back. I ended up with the wrong cape on my big Oregon Whitetail a few years back. My deer was very blonde/red, I got a completely different color cape back. A more traditional color whitetail. Frustrating.

It's too bad this has become so common, there are some good taxidermists out there that just went by the wayside....

Rumor has it, he has some protege' or friends he was teaching taxidermy to.  I wonder if they are turning out some work just to take some heat off.
