Right, not talking about dialing back and forth. If he missed a buck because the scope was not properly sighted in and you have to adjust the elevation turret to get the scope zeroed, you have to adjust the zero stop...otherwise, it wouldn't stop at zero! I don't imagine anyone wants to dial backwards...though I have heard of people zeroing at 300yds.

Maybe using "zeroed" interchangeably with "sighted in" is confusing.

deerhunter - yeah I think we we're confused cause you seemed frustrated with having to remove the zero stop bucket to re-zero the rifle. Not just because the scope lost zero.

Yeah I didn't explain it clear enough  :chuckle: that scope brings back bad memories  :chuckle:

Yup....that would piss me all the way off too.  Sorry that happened.  Likely a isolated issue as zeiss gets great reviews form most....but I do love my Nightforce.

I have 3 v4s 4-16x44 with the t-30 zmoa-i reticle on a 6.5cm, 6.8western, and a .300 Win. Mag. All of them have been good to me over the last 2 years. Have not had issues with environmental elements in the field. 2 are on tikkas in DNZ rings and one on a browning in Talley rings. Admittedly for tracking I have not gone beyond 300yds yet. I have been shooting once a week with the 6.8w for the last 2 months going from 100-200yds and back with no issues. More than happy to get together if youd like to feel one out before you make a decision.
