Seven devils
« on: May 24, 2024, 11:31:05 AM »
Anyone rode and or packed into the seven devils ? Lucky enough to draw a goat tag this year. Ive hunted the unit a lot but from the river up off jet boat . Would love to talk trail conditions and horse friendly camp sites.
Thanks
Brian

I’ve been over by diggins , trail was great as long as someone has cut the deadfall out after winter which is usually done by July

If I were you I’d try to get in contact with the usfs packer out of slate creek. He’s a good dude.

Had goats right above the lake before camping up there in the summer. Great fishing.
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

At the end of cold springs rd (the road just north of riggins) has an awesome area to camp, not sure about water for horses though.  It’s at the north wilderness boundary but you are prob thinking about the middle, best of luck to you!! Sounds like an excellent adventure, that country is heaven!!
