Relocated to WA 1.5 years ago. Learning the ropes. Have only hunted release birds (western WA) thus far. But hunted wild birds in OR, SD and CA this year. Need to learn eastern WA. Finally added OnX. That should help, but always have an ear out for tips. I don't need anyone's "honey hole". If I'm in an area with birds, I'm pretty good at finding them.
Avid bird hunter with a brace of Setters. One that checks in and one that checks out.
Have cabover with 4WD (can be a bit lumbering going site to site, but nice abode as "base camp", a Jeep Cherokee (if real 4WD is needed) and Toyota Highlander AWD (rather stingy on fuel, but limited off-piste).
Interested in hearing about areas and experiences. Will share what I got and/or expenses.
Really interested in finding some grouse and/or quail habitat somewhat close (western Lewis County).
Also an avid saltwater angler. 26' diesel boat in process of recommissioning when bird season cropped up, so soon to be winterized. Experienced with lakes and streams, but not so much big rivers.
