Deer attractant?
« on: July 13, 2009, 08:48:03 AM »
I am wondering what people have found effective in attracting mule deer.  I am hoping to get something for trail cam purposes that attracts deer and gets them to use the same place.  I am looking for something that works for mule deer, specifically in chelan county.  I put out a trace mineral block this weekend and will have to wait and see how that works.  Anyone tried the commercial deer baits?  Anything?

Salt works as well as anything else.  Your block should do the trick.

10 acre alfalfa field will bring them in.

Might be a little tough to pack in, but I'll give it a whirl and let you know the results. ;)

I am curious....just exactly how does someone pack in 10 acres of alfalfa?   :dunno:  I would pay to see that!   :IBCOOL:

Easy to pack in 10 acres of Falfa. Seeds, watering it might be a trick.

Is the taste of the bait worth the sting of the hook twice?
