Good Morning..F^$@#!
« on: November 06, 2009, 07:34:29 AM »
 >:(
So, my son(11) and my hubby left the house early to assure themselves a good spot at a public place. They learned last weekend that, you have to in order to get a spot.

Well, they were resting and someone walked up the the pond..my hubby shined the light to left them know they were there.

This guys starts cussing and throwing a teenage size fit.  :bash:
My husband says hey buddy, I got my kid out here..could you watch your mouth? oh the words just flew..
What is with people?
He says oh what are you teaching your kid? Getting out here so early? That's just great!! CURSE CURSE!!

All I have to say, is my kid will be the one who realizes in order to get the big bucks, good ponds..you have to get up early. He has been the one tired from going pond to pond with his gun and back pack. The early bird gets the worm..you turd.

Oh ok, I have one more thing to say:

He is luck that "MOM" wasn't out there! As a matter of fact, I am gonna get ready in a few after my older biy goes to school...and he better hope, I don't see him.
I wonder if you can actually educate ignorant people?? :bash:

Get him mama! Some people are just inconsiderate a-holes. They think that it's their God given right to act however they want without consequence. I'm sure this d-bag has never had anyone really stand up to him, let alone an angry mother. I really hope you find him and chew him a new one.

Darn shame people act that way.  Seems to be getting worse every year.  One of the reasons I won't even go up to the Samish unit until the weather gets real nasty and the idiots stay at home and only true waterfowlers will be out.

Well...I took my older boy to school. Came home and called them. They said it was pretty slow still. So, I will wait until tomorrow. But, we will be up super early and I will be crabby for sure..lol..

Maybe, he had a hangover or needed a beer.
I'm just glad that we've taught our boy's to have manners.

I also wish my Labradors weren't so friendly at times but, darn it!! They love everyone.

It stinks to have to get up that early..doesn't make the kids too chipper. It stinks the phesants are released there too now there are people walking all over, dogs running at will but, it's not their fault..they probably feel the same way.

My kids love to duck hunt and maybe this afternoon we can search for another place that won't be so crowded.

The boys are excited for the snow goose hunt. My older boy drew the Unit 7 Nov. 14th hunt. I just don't know how good that will be, it's still pretty early.

Just be VERY careful confronting an angry hunter.  You must realize they are armed and if they don't give a rip about screamin and yellin they probably wont give a rip bout pointing a gun towards you.

Take your safety first.

It's a good learning experience for the kids.  They got to realize what is wrong to do in the field and how to handle it appropriately like your husband did.  Take em out scouting for new areas.  Gets them out in new places, teaches them the land, and you might find a honey hole :)

For me finding new hunting spots is right on par with hunting that spot as far as excitement.  Nothing like bumping into a pond and jumping a ton of ducks knowing you got a good shoot coming!

Oh I know...it's easy to be Momma bear and get fired up!!

That is the one thing that keeps me home sometimes. I can't stand the crowds. Our private field got shut down due to some beer drinkers leaving cans!! So we had to suffer because of people hunting it that shouldn't have been.

The trick is finding that honey hole and a nice quiet place.
It's a zoo on public land and everyone is equally frustrated by it.

But, come on people....to be upset because someone got out there before you?

I wish they came up with a marking system. That is frustration to walk all over and have people there.

I hang or post a lantern when I get to the spot that I’m going to be hunting.  That lets others know that it’s occupied before they walk all the way out.  I haven’t had anyone walk up on me yet this season.

But getting upset because someone beat you to a spot is just stupid.  I just say Hello and move on to spot B.

Well...the boy's are gonna be up and at it early again tomorrow. I just wish people were a little more decent. You never know if someone who gets to a pond early may share:)

after not having a lot of luck on public land my buddy and I opted to explore a little and do some jump shooting, scouting, etc. One thing that he and I always try to maintain is that if we see another hunter we try to stay at least 100+ yards away from them and their spread, and semi concealed so that our presence doesn't threaten their chance of pulling in some birds.

I'm not sure why some people get so pissy about missing out on a honey hole on public land, first come first serve. If you think you need to have your own spot and not share, then man up and go spend the dollars on some land somewhere.

I can't wait till I can take my son out (he's only about 6 months old now). I do worry a little about other people tho. on WaLakes.com I remember a guy mentioning taking his son out fishing on lake sammamish and the local liberals started harrasing him, throwing rocks at his boat, and one put on scuba gear and started pounding on the boat from underwater. I'm not sure how to handle that with a young child with me.

Put a snagging hook on and drive a barb through his scuba gear into his ass!  :twocents: That is rediculous.

it is rediculous. I love how self-righteous liberals accuse hunters of immature and irresponsible actions via rock throwing and name calling

if i remember right he might have posted a picture of the house that was causing problems from the lake though. not sure if they ever met up there for a group fishing trip or not, LOL.
