WDFW July Commission Meeting
« on: June 14, 2010, 12:45:01 PM »
There is an upcoming commission meeting in July.  The agenda is listed on the WDFW website.  Written comments are due by June 25th.  I haven't had a chance to review the topics yet, but I urge everyone to take a look and see if there is anything you want to voice your opinion about and write a letter or attend the meeting and voice your opinions.

Yes.  And I think there will be "broad public support" as well as broad support from WDFW staff as well. :)

Unless I am reading the schedule wrong the next commission meeting isn't until August 6-7. There is a conference call 6/18, 7/2 & 16. But no actual meeting until August 6 and 7. No public comments are taken during conference calls.

Here is the meeting schedule:

You are correct.  I didn't read the email they sent me very well.  It does say it will be a conference call and we can send written comments.  I should have read more slowly. :P

In that case, be sure to write to the commission because there won't be a meeting to voice your opinions.

Here is the letter WDFW sent out.

June 11, 2010

Dear Wildlife Enthusiast:

Draft regulations regarding hunter reporting are available for your review at http://wdfw.wa.gov/about/regulations/development.html#hunter_report

If you would like to have a copy mailed to you, please call (360) 902-2515 or request a copy in writing at the address listed above. These proposals will be presented to the Fish and Wildlife Commission for adoption at their July 16, 2010 conference call in Olympia.

If you would like the Department and Commission to consider your written comments regarding these recommendations, please submit them to WDFW, Attn: Wildlife Program Commission Meeting Public Comments, 600 Capitol Way North, Olympia, WA 98501-1091, by June 25,2010. The meeting will take place via telephone conference call. The public may listen to the discussion via speakerphone and provide oral testimony by going to the Department of Fish and Wildlife, Natural Resources Building, located at 1111 Washington Street Southeast, Olympia, Washington 98504. Please note, since filing the CR-102, the meeting room location of the conference call has changed from Room 172 on the first floor to the Commission Office on the 5th Floor, of the Natural Resources Building.
