Not very many around.  I'm worried this bug really wiped them out.

Ah man.  I talked to wdfw on quads, right after they started shooting a few of them.  They sounded like they were more optimistic about them.  Not sure how many they did eliminate though.  This sucks if your not seeing many...

Did you see any that looked sick or are they all taken care off?

I didn't hardly see any, let alone any that were sick.  Sure a crap load of magpies.  I hope they are feeding on something else, like squawfish or something.  I'll keep a vigilant eye out, but by this time last year there were lots of sheep down.

Agreed Bone...bad news.  I helped a guy out in the Selah Butte.  Spent 5 days scouting and 1 day hunting.....counted a total of 6 lambs and I covered a LOT of area.  I talked to the bio and he said the total lamb count for Umptanum was 11.  According to bio the lambs are being born and then are dying.  Many ewes have died this year as well.  The rams are surviving the illness but are carriers (the ram we took tested positive).  The rams are starting to chase, hopefully the high ram/ewe ratio doesn't send one wandering towards Clemens.
