Springer Dam Count
« on: April 26, 2011, 08:42:35 PM »
Dam count at Bonneville went over 1000 fish yesterday.

At least for the locals.. it is time!   :fishin: :rockin:

A late run or they missed the forecast this year.  The water is cold and high, maybe the fish decided to stay another year at sea.
Cut em!

My biggest concern now on this side is this super cold weather we have had the snow in the mountains hasn't even begun to melt....my fear is we get such a small window for good fishing that the rivers will blowout with really the first warm temps of the year. Keeping fingers crossed!

And now that the fish are running do you think they will give another opener in the Lower Columbia?  Would be nice since they missed the run completely.

The weather and timing was bad but our quota was only 7750 fish. It will likely not open again as we just about hit the quota already.

Yes it is that BAD!!! Stay away!!!  Joking aside it is bumper boats in the circle everyday of the week.  Weekdays are a little better but it is still bumper boats.  It only takes one long liner or a person with no boat control to really screw things up.  But again people don't have to fish at the mouth to catch fish.  Is it better yes, but plenty of fish are caught in the main lake.

It's bad but can be fished with patience and some luck.

The fish will start stacking in the lake then you can catch them all over. I might be up for a trip if the weather is right. ;)
