Yes, spots. Early in the season we limited in 240 to 280 ft but they seem to have moved deeper. If in 300'+ be sure to have 400' of line as the bow from the current can either sink your small float of lift your pot off the bottom with a large float. Last Saturday, all four of our pots moved 1 1/2 miles, even with 10 to 15 pounds of weight in the pot.
I am hoping to catch my first ever cod while the pot soaks so if you know how it's done please come and show me. My boat is very comfy for 2 people to fish from.

Leaving about two since it is an afternoon/evening flat tide. We will be dropping the pots a mile or so west of Colville Is.
