Of course it's a crappy bottom-corner shot... taken 5/11. Doesn't look quite right to be an elk...or a deer.

the razor back stance to the hair sez moose. the lack of dark hair on the top of the head. the way the antlers are already palmating sez moose. you can see the coarse texture of the hide? and the bug out eyes sez moose.

I would say elk... not dark enough for a moose. And doesn't have the big shoulder hump of a moose. There antlers also grow more out than up.

After looking at a whole lot of pics i gotta switch and say elk. Moose antlers seem to grow straight out the side of their skulls uniformly. Color had me fooled. Thats a light one.
