I took a deer and elk I got there. When i went to pick it up I ended up with some beef instead of my elk. They said they didnt know where mine went. I got my deer meat.  I will never use them again!

I had last years elk cut up and packaged there.  Great deal and they did a great job.  Not sure about hanging though.

Owens meats is a member of this site.  You might just want to PM them to get your specific answer.  Here is what he goes by as a member name, "Don Owens".

If I remember correctly it's $20 a day...obviously they want your business...if it's for a day or two it may be worth it?  Try fruit farmers...I was in a pinch once and found a farmer who was more than willing...he also sent me away with a whole box of peaches that were orgasmic and didn't want any $???!!  The best fruit a man could eat.  Perfectly ripe.

I've never had any problem with owens (I've actually enjoyed BSing with the guy who takes the game - forgot his name - but he wasn't there last year?)...I've always liked the idea of cutting & wrapping my own elk meat (I normally cut my deer up myself) but giving that I archery hunt, the heat is a factor unless you have access to a large fridge or walk-in.  One day I'll have my own processing place for myself, friends, & family.

Haters don't answer questions.

twenty bucks a day is robbery.  I will call them and get the truth-  that's a bunch a BS.

They got the best rib eyes - buy them alot - along with spicy pepporoni every time I pass through.

Diane runs the place after John died many, many years ago. I think she was his granddaughter or daughter, not sure.

Just finished off a bag of jerky from Owens.  By far the best jerky ever made. I want more every time I go by Cle Elum.

Thanks for reminding me.  Just ripped off a foot of Owens pepperoni and a small hunk of jerky for the pre-bedtime snack.   :EAT:
