Interesting....

Color of the coat could be grizz.....from the size of the melon and ears looks like a pretty good sized bear.

Also...nice looking area. What else you got?

What are you guys seeing that shows he's a griz?

Yeah, he's brown. It also looks like his eyes and snout might be black. Yeah, he has a shoulder hump, but it doesn't look definite to me. I don't see a large slope from his eyes and nose. I can't see his claws or tell if his ears are more round than pointed...I'd say he's a mature black bear  :dunno:

Just curious so I don't make a huge mistake, maybe you see something I don't

I was looking at the hump and the head in the first pic and the ear in the second. Very well could be a mature blackie. But from the pics provided it Kinda looks like a grizz.

Definitely not a grizz imo, im looking on my phone but I dont think its that big. Going off the structure of him it makes him seem like he's a mature bear but his over all size looks to be your avg bear. That's my guess, shooter for me though.

Looks like a fine blackie boar to me!  Need better pics to guess weight.  But, definitely looks like a large mature male to me.

That first pic does make his back side look like a griz.  But the ears and nose don't much look like one.  Though you never know on large boars until you get a real good look.  I had a 400# griz mounted in my shop years ago.  About 9 out of every 10 people that looked at it thought it was a blackie.  Some wouldn't even believe me when I'd tell them the truth.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."
