so ive looked all over the wdfw webpage and cannot find any mention of porcupines.  can anybody post a link to something that will tell me if there are any restrictions on them?

Yes, shoot 'em all.  The quills and hair can be worth some money.  I remember someone posting on here to buy them some time ago.  Try searching the site.

yeah ive looked everywhere on the site.  i know theyre not listed under protected species in the regs, so i guess that will have to be good enough huh?  saw a big one a while back on the edge of a field and was thinking what a cool mount it would make.  just didnt want to take one into a taxidermist and be told i f****d up

no restrictions.... look for the bark stripped off the trees. Morning and dust are best or spotlight them in trees..... good luck... my dogs get in them every year...

Cant seem to track down the law now, but any animal not protected or listed as a game animal or furbearer can be hunted year round with no limit with a valid hunting license.

Pulled quills a few weeks ago from over 60 head of heifers from a damn porky.  Found him a few days later with the mower.

I kill the piss out of them a few weeks back we went out and got 6 in 3 trips. I kill a ton of them every year. I also target them and know how to find them.

Cause, the law states it's ok to harvest them, but if you're caught throwing away, or wasting the animal, VERY stiff fines could follow, including loss of hunting privilages, FOREVER!

Basically, like your dad allways said, don't kill want you don't intend to eat.

well... yeah, disgusting if not clean properly. they have a huge bladder and musk gland near their anus....
