Work on their property, or just spend lots of time up there.  We got permission just being there and chatting with landowners when we ran across them.  Start up a conversation and see where I goes.

This is correct many landowners post contact info on fences call them several months before season, and ask them if there is anything you can do to help out around the place to earn access.  The communities around there are small once you get to know a couple of families most others will be allot more open to allowing you to access their property.  Another thing to keep in mind allot of the farms around there are in stubble during rifle season meaning allot of the property is holding very little animals you may want to talk to the folks with CRP on their property, or some nasty canyons that will hold animals.  Our family has killed most of our animals in the nastiest gorges, and canyons we can find out there.  Good luck we will be around the area for rifle season in a tan dodge 2500 diesel maybe we will see you around.

Maybe it has worked for you in the past, but IMO I would loose the im a christian slogan. Not that thats a bad thing, but ALOT of people use that to screw people. I myself got screwed by a guy who told me that not long ago on a $6,000 purchase. From that point on when I hear "im a christian man" I WILL run.

Myself and my other firefighter buddy hunted the river's edge near Central Ferry last year and did well.  I lost my boat, along with my garage in the Ellensburg fire, so that option is out this year.  We noticed some "Hunting allowed with Written Permission" signs last year, but could never get anyone to answer the phone numbers listed on the signs, or, we were in areas with no cell phone coverage, so couldn't call them.  I could definitely use some inputs on hunting options too (between Central Ferry and South of Pomeroy), if anyone has suggestions.  Thanks in advance.

Totally sad to hear that Mxracer532.  There definitely are people out there that label themselves "Christians," but in today's world it can be used very loosely. Unfortunately, I can't speak for other people and how they define their faith, but I'm not afraid to put mine out there on the forum and speak up for ethical and reliable hunting practices.

Total bummer that someone sold you something for $6,000 and it turned out a crappy deal. I get that because it's happened to me before and I've had to say to myself - what was I thinking?

That's where I think that people who say "I'm a Christian" ought to walk the walk - not just talk the talk. If this guy didn't disclose the problems you've had with this $6,000 purchase, he ought to pay you back and give you an extra $1000 for his dishonesty. If it was an honest mistake on his part, then he still ought to reach out to you and offer to give it back.

I apologize on behalf of those of us who really do want to live as followers of Jesus Christ, as our focus should always come down to 2 things:

  - Love God and Love Others

  - If you truly love God, then you will love others (and that means with integrity, honesty, patience, kindness, etc...)

Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate. - Psalm 127:3-5

Try calling the regional biologist and see what public land options are available.  There is actually quite a bit of Army Corps of Engineers land that is open to hunt.  Several large state land areas as well.  Nisqually John Canyon has put out some really nice bucks and its public land.

Ok sorry...back on topic now.....
I have been in search of the same thing silverdalesauer . I've been looking for a few years and have been willing to trade my construction, farm experience, and heavy equipment experience each summer for some hunt time on private land in eastern WA. I've made alot of calls to those posted numbers with not one response. I can't afford much but have always been willing  to pay $100 p/day, thats all I can afford. Still havent found any takers.  :'(

A fair amount of feel free to hunt signs out that way and lots of Corps of Engineers land, you just gotta spend some time cruising the backroads and climbing some hills on foot.  The only advice I can give is that the GoHunt! application on the WDFW's website is a good place to start, but for a lot of hunting options you just gotta spend some time on the ground scouting the area.  And as a side note, good people are good people and  bad people are bad people...they come in all shapes, colors, and religions; your spiritual views, at least in my opinion, are irrelevent to your character.  Good luck this season!

All the feel free to hunt land that I have seen is just as crowded with hunters as public land.
