A good problem to have... What would you do?

Thanks all for the replies.  Please keep them coming!  I can say my thinking is in agreement with most of you.  The tag can produce a good 300"+ bull as I have seen them before.

I can call pretty well but I have a great caller (my dad) that will be in my back pocket until we get it done.  We will be hitting it dark to dusk!

hold out forever, drawing a branched tag is not worth shooting a cow. if it is the last minute of the last day then maybe ya

 I would hold out. There should be a late season you could shoot a cow or a spike in? Never a sure thing, but these tags are hard to come by.

Yeah hold out for a bull the whole time. It'd be your luck that you'd shoot a cow and then the big boy would come out. I'd rather regret passing up a cow at the end of the season than shooting a cow and thinking i might of had a bull. Good luck!

I rarely get opportunities around here in Sept when bowhunting elk at cows..its always bulls that I get shots at first

Okay gents... I am reserving the first 7 days of my 10 day hunt for a bull.  I sure wish I had the first 3 days as well but I have work responsibilities that have me tied down until Thurs evening.  Good luck to all on Tuesday!

I have a similiar tag down south of you, here in Oregon. I'm allowed a cow on my bull tag if I choose to do so. But I'm planning on hunting bulls till the last afternoon and then if a cow show's, well, I'll see. Yeah, we all have visions of that 5x5, but bull opportunities are pretty chancey here in mid- October. And also, even the biggest of racks make thin soup, so I've taken to mind, the first bull that present's an opportunity, I'm puttin' the lead to him. But I hopein' you get a big one! Good huntin' to ya! Bull

I would hold out for a few days and see whats moving.  If you want a bull then I would hold out for a bull, but there is nothing like elk steaks on the BBQ.   Cow or bull...now one ever said...thats a nice bull elk steak or a nice cow elk steak.

don't shoot a cow, if you already have a cow tag and a multi season tag in your pocket.  hunt for big bull(whatever that means to you) until last light of last day.
