Great Write up and hunt! I figured you must have been close to the Lakes Trail when you let one fly at the bull and he crossed the Panhandle Creek and piled up.  We were coming out Saturday from Venus Lake and Pleasant Pass and saw you and your 3 "packers" quartering up the bull, so we figured you had enough help.

We will be back soon in the Whittier unit!

Great Story!!!  45 min. after that climb?  Awesome job!
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Nice. You should have stopped by. Believe the firefighters got a 5 pt the third or fourth day of the season. I took mine the evening of opening day and the guy I was hunting with took a small 4 pt. the second or the third day of the season. It was a awsome hunt. Wonder how many more Margaret bulls where taken.

I would have stopped by and BSed but it was already pretty late by the time we were headed home. Glad to hear you guys did well.

I'm also curious to see other bulls taken. The early rifle tag guys get to start tomorrow, one of them is a member here he's a cool guy and scouted pretty hard, I think he will get a nice one but he's hunting alone... Ouch.

I have a friend of my brothers up there today also starting his rifle bull hunt. Could be the same guy?

Yeah maybe, this guys name is brad he is a firefighter. There was a group of guys up there last weekend in a white ford that were scouting for one of the guys who had the tag as well.

The White Ford is our group.  I hope they both get nice bulls!  weather should be perfect this week.

Saturday we talked to several guys. There was 2 fords at the end of the road. A white 4 door older ford and a newer standard cab blue(?) ford. Suspect they came up the trail behind us and passed us in the fog. Hard to say.
I drive the periwinkle 4-runner (hand me down from my wife :)). If any of you see me, say hello.

We talked to a few bowhunters on the 26 and sat and glassed with a guy who has the rifle rut tag for a bit. He talked of Hunt Wa but I never did ask his screen name. Said he was from Rochester I believe. Talked to a few guys camped down by Green river also. One said he was predator hunting and had a wimeraner (sp?) with him. The place was pretty buisy saturday.

I'm hoping for rain so they open the west side for the muzzy hunt just so guys will have somehwere else to go and we wont all be packed in the same area.

If I ran into any of you I apologize for not introducing myself and asking names. I'm awfull with names.
