One last try or two...
« on: August 23, 2008, 10:00:45 PM »
Well, I'm down to maybe one or two more days to bear hunt. Since I can't drive, I've been pretty limited. Only seen a few bears the few times I've been. No shot opps for me. I dunno, maybe I'm paying for those years I've been too selective. Anyhow, only a few days to hunt before the good lady spills the baby out, then I'm gone to MT and ID.. Could really use a good luck wish or two. Would really love to get a hide for the baby, since we will call him bear. A little luck never hurt anything.... ;)

This has been the worst bear season for me in terms of bears seen and berries ripe. Any bear not with mama, will be game.

Well, plenty of deer and plenty of snakes was all that  I seen. Seen so many dang snakes that I could have made a few belts and boots! Seen one snake that I guess had just eaten. My he was swole up in the middle. I stopped to look at him, and he couldnt even slither away, just bit at my boots.

Weather was fine till about noon, then I got all soggied up all day long. Horrible, horrible. Wishing I was having better luck..

Got stung a few times also. Thats never fun.
