They are illegal.  Cabelas needs to get a clue.

I think it is funny when I see stuff in Cabela's that we can't even use  :chuckle:

You would think they would want the shelve space to put stuff that people will buy. Wonder how many guys buy the electric ones not knowing they are illegal

Cabelas has lots of muzzleloaders in stock at the Lacey store that aren't legal in Washington. Makes no sense.    :dunno:

Some may wish to purchase items in Washington to use out of state where laws are different.  If I were going on a muzzleloader hunt in Wyoming, I wouldn't want to wait until the day I got to Wyoming to buy it.

(Electronic decoys are legal in 47 of the 50 states.)

Cabelas has a LOT of customers from British Columbia and out of state.
They sell the hell out of stuff not legal here but legal in the state the customers are from.
They have a clue

This was a hot button issue when the Tulalip Cabela's opened.  Apparently when they open a store corprate sends X,Y, and Z to each store for initial stocking of the shelves.  Not realizing electronic decoys were illegal here that is what happened.  My guess is that yes people buy them for out of state hunting but that they may have some left over from opening as well.

But yes, still illegal.  I believe the argument once again came down to fair chase.

Also, there are parts of Washington that you can use electronic decoys.  Most notably some reservation lands.  I beleive they are allowed on Yakima Reservation.  Someone correct me if I am wrong on that though.

Sure, but still I wouldn't think they would sell very many for that purpose.

Cabelas is kinda getting on my nerves, I was just in there with a 50 dollar gift card in my pocket. Didnt even buy anything, everything just too damn expensive and they didnt have what I want. Last time I was in there the knowledge of some of the salesman was very questionable too
