Few more Skok fish...
« on: August 25, 2008, 01:47:02 PM »
...that fell victim to a bobber and eggs. This first picture is from about a week and a half ago. The six of us were done by about 9am. The second two pictures are my fish from today. Still a few bright fish pushing in, but it has slowed way down. I think today was my last trip up there. Westport tomorrow (I hope), Willapa Bay on Thursday, and then its time to put the fishing poles away for a while and head out with my bow.

Very nice, looked like a great time...  Guided, Unguided?  Willipa, hummm, interesting as might be heading there myself due to the Columbia retention closure and need a couple more Salmon in the freezer...  Question, what style fishing there?  Down riggers probably are not effective there due to how shallow the bay is and crap on bottom?  Mooching?

All my fishing is unguided. We are taking the boat out to Westport tomorrow to chase Silvers and then Thursday at Willapa Bay, we will be trolling very similar to how we troll for Springers. I have never fished down there, but will be following a buddy of mine down.

Ive been debating going to Willapa Bay. I hear you only fish in about twenty feet of water :dunno: I have heard it can be killer with chances of 30 plus pounders. Then I have also heard it can be tough to fish due to tons of stuff in the water. All hear say I guess, I might just have to check it out myself or wait and see how you guys do :chuckle:
