Help me hunt modern season?
«
on:

So I have the gear, I have the license, I've put in work with boots on ground in areas I don't think will be productive. I've read boyd once and am reading it again. Anyone wanna take me under their wing if they tag out early for the modern season around jblm? I doubt this will get many offers as I know people love their honey holes. I'll be off work the entire late season for getting ready to head to Korea so not a chance of me flaking out. I can walk forever and won't cry no matter how bad it hurts!

Are you looking specifically near JBLM? Is there a mile radius you have in mind?

Not really. I just need to be close enough to make it there. I'd prefer to stick to less than a 2 or 3 hour drive though.

Well, I think my spots might be barely within that range. I'll be doing more deer scouting soon so can let you know if my spots are looking good. Right now I've been scouting elk and hunting for a fat bear.

Hunt on base. There are a LOT of hunters going this year there but it's close and there is a LOT of land to hunt on...
Just call the base.

Well I would say it's time to start scouting other spots, obviously you got the time.

Maybe next year you will need to figure out sooner that you don't have a place to hunt and not wait till the last minute.

I'm a last minute guy also... And I misread your post, but I'd really like to hunt there one year, but not one with a bunch of tards out there banging away like they were in boot camp. I want to hunt Bangor also where my uncle hunted way back in the day but I think Bangor hunting is long gone do to base expansion...
