Here goes, I came back to camp from hunting opening morning to eat some breakfeast and take my boy back out he is 6 and his first deer trip. My dad had taken him with him that morning. At about 11:30 am, we head back up the mnt. to an area I had seen a good size doe that morning and we sit and walk for about 2 hours, he said dad I am little tired now lets sit some where, I said ok lets walk back down to the area I told you about that Doe I saw he said okay. We start heading back and he said Dad I lost my pocket knife, I said maybe its at the first place we sat at, lets go back and look again. I get back to the first spot, I look no knife, then I look down the hill for about 3-5 mins and I sit down on a rock looking down the hill and my boy is standing next to me and says DAD! there are two huge muleys next to us looking at us. I wheel around stand up, they are about 40 yds I look at this one, saw more than three points bang, dead! The second deer just above him was as big or bigger but couldn't shoot him as he had a tree blocking his body. It was cool, my sons first two mule deer he ever sees hunting and both are really nice muley bucks, he never saw any deer with my dad that morning earlier. If he wasn't with me I probabley wouldn't even notice them and never even heard them as the wind was blowing up hill a little and my back was too them. He was a pig too, 165lb hanging, fun. I will always cherish that moment, when he said that to me.

That is showing the young man what hunting is all about...

Congrats on the deer.  Seems maybe the boy might be cut out to be a guide.   :chuckle: :chuckle:
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.
