My uncle did that to a mule deer in South Dakota with a mechanical called a Grim Reaper.  The deer was totally gutted by the time it piled up...saved on the amount of work he had to do.

Here is the story of his hunt with pictures of the blood trail.  Apparently the buck jumped a fence and ran about 60 yards after being hit.

Why do guys do that? He says he shot it in the morning and then it is dark in the pic he is posing. Either he is a liar on his time or he wasted some good meat by leaving the hide on all day.

 :dunno: id be packin that mofo out as soon as it expired and the guts were in a pile, i guess some people dont belive meat goes bad, im a die hard fisherman so i like getting my meat on ice ASAP
