what are the rules on hand gun hunting in washington, also what caliber can you shoot, and whats the barrel length and slug size, i don't see it in the WDFW game manual?
handgun rules for Wa. 4 in. barrel min., revolver, and .24-25 cal min. Kind of silly because there are plenty of sufficient autos available, but rules is rules.I saw a moon clipped 25 ACP revolver the other day that I wanted to buy just to show the WDFW how silly that rule was. I have a Game officer that I chew the fat with from time to time, and enjoy playing a game of stump the LEO.I did talk to both the sheriff office and Game Warden about the neighbor but they would have to catch him harassing me or the wildlife to do anything and they said they are just too shorthanded. The deputy did tell him that he is fortunate that I have a cool head, because he would have shot him. If he brandished an AR on him.Regardless, adversity came, I adapted, I filled a tag! Beats whining.
Oldest is six, my wife is planning to take hunters ed also. Her only hesitation is taking a class with a bunch of junior high boys just sounds weird to her. If she could find another gal to go with I think it would be done. My oldest is close, he is good with my .22 handgun, and my .357 revolver, but is not quite big enough for the youth model 20 ga I have, but he can't quite read well enough to do the tests and such. He is fearless when it comes to shooting, I am hesitant to let him shoot something that might scare him but nothing has yet. He hasn't got aiming down very well, he just likes pulling the trigger. I have been doing a bit of daisy lever action plinking in the the back yard, but again he just isn't quite big enough. I figure two years, and he will be ready to go.
