Methow late report?
« on: November 14, 2012, 07:21:50 PM »
Anyone have any news regarding how the Methow late permit folks are faring?
I see that there has been some low temps and snow to help.
Seems like that area has been quiet this year?

More road hunting this year than ever.   Saw a regular(smaller sized) that got popped.    Several areas that normally hold some really good bucks are barren of deer this year.    :(

Saw one this morning I had to do a double take to make sure it wasn't an elk sucka had to be 4 inches wider than it's ears on both sides and super tall 4 X 4.

Probably not the same deer but i saw one 2 weekends ago near the airport that i would describe as
I had to do a double take to make sure it wasn't an elk sucka had to be 4 inches wider than it's ears on both sides and super tall 4 X 4.

I tried to get a pic through the spotter with my cell but it didnt come out.

Well Bone I think the earlier snow brought some of them down but that melted. I was up pretty high last weekend and there were plenty up there.

You're right not the same deer this was no where near the airport and a long ways off any road so road hunters need not apply :)

Hopefully they will start moving in the next week or so. I cant wait for the late tag. I think im more nervous for this hunt than any game from high school or presentation from college...

Thats good news sky.
