i am about to embark on my first archery hunt ever but can't go till the 17th. hopefully all the elk won't be blown into the next state by the time i get there...aside from that, feeling like everything is set in place...we scouted, located some critters, have a camp spot in mind, etc...just need the elk to cooperate. good luck to all you guys.

Good luck everyone.  I'm going insane with the wait, will be doing some more scouting over the next few days.  Monday cannot come soon enough.

I have been a silent member on this site for a year now an i haven't been able to log off(even though half the time I'm not logged in  :P). I wish i could say I'm going to be trotting through the woods with you in a couple days but my university is 2400 miles away. I'm excited and anxious for all of you and i cant wait to see the pictures and hear the tales of another great elk season. Everyone Good luck, be safe, and take lots of pictures.

A week from tonight MuleySniper will be packing my bull out for me.  :chuckle:  We are going to sneak away for a quick 3 dayer. Might get lucky. It will be better than honey-doos at home thats for sure. Even a long weekend hunt with a good buddy is a good weekend. Now if I could just find a good buddy :chuckle: Just kidding Sniper. I get first crack this year though. Friday the 12th is my birthday so you better let me shoot one first.

Good luck to all. Take lots of pictures.

Im leaving in about 4 hours for my first archery season.  Too excited to sleep, and when I do sleep, I hear bugles and bleats.  Oh well, better than dreaming about work.  Good Luck.

Hell, I have that sight issue sometime when shooting spots.  Like I go into auto-pilot and shoot the 30 pin instead of the 20.......  Switched to a single pin slider, but then I have to remember to slide the pin up or down.  Just too much for my feebile mind......

Good Luck everyone!  Looks like I may have to hold off until the late season for my elk.
