Rabbit hunting in NW. Washington
« on: September 04, 2008, 02:26:13 PM »
Hey guys  :hello:

I am getting back into hunting and wanted to go pick up some rabbits here shortly.

I live out in Everett and I was wondering if anyone had any decent suggestions of areas that had  decent rabbit populations?

I am thinking anywhere about an hour drive away would be great.

Thanks for the info!

My rabbit hunting has gone down as the gas prices have gone up! Logging roads at the crack of dawn, drive long and hard, rabbits and grouse. But that's become expensive meat lately!

I agree with driving roads.
Usually, when you come to an area that has one or two....you'll stumble across more and more. Perhaps not the same day, but they're there so remember them for the next trip.
It'll probably be a pretty good trip if you come home with more than 2.

I'm lucky enough to have access to a farm not far away that has a sizeable population....unfortunately, it's also in a firearms restriction zone (no centerfire/rimfire).

This year, it's bunny attack by bow!
I left it better than I found it...did you?
I hunt animals because veggies are too easy to stalk.

Lake Terrell Wildlife Area by Ferndale has rabbits, but I'd wait until after the Pheasant Release Season.
