Any experienced coyote hunters want to hit Whidbey Is?
« on: November 20, 2012, 09:29:03 AM »
I've got some access to land north of Oak harbor.  I've not really coyote hunted and would like to have someone with some experience join me.  Won't be able to hunt it until mid Dec. or later though due to my schedule.

I will be home from deployment soon and would love to go with you.  I am stationed at Whidbey.  Give me a shout whenever.  Shotgun's only though.....

I have a coyote hunting buddy on Whidbey.  He has decades of experience and taught me everything I know about it.  We have been talking about putting another trip together.  Let me know if you want to work something out.

I'd be down for it as well if the other guys can't make it.  I have all the calls/decoys etc. we would need.  Available pretty much every weekend from now until Christmas.  Let me know!

Last week I talked with the landowner, sounds like he has been throwing some lead at them with no real plan to get them and they pretty much just howl from the neighbor's property who won't allow hunting.   :bash:

If they are ratty and mangey, just chuck someplace out of site.  Seems like some folks like to place them where they can shoot more when they come to investigate.  If it is in good shape, you can case skin it and sell the hide at one of the fur auctions or maybe sell it to someone with more experience or trade for skinning help.
