My 2012 Quality Hunt Buck Mashell Unit
« on: November 22, 2012, 06:50:56 PM »
Had a lot of days in the field, riding in on Mtn. Bikes and hiking all over the place. Finally, I  got this nice 3x3 Blacktail on the last day I could hunt before returning to work. He ran across the road in front of me @11:00 on Monday, and ran down in a Alder/vine maple/fern patch. He was down there shaking the water off himself, shaking his head, it was really cool to see a buck like that just standing there like that. After I shot him, I had to drag him up to the  road with my truck because the hill was so steep. Thank God for the opportunity!!!(And my wife for putting up with all the hunting, and to Trent for the motivation!!)

I saw several other bucks, missed a 2 pt earlier in the season, couple of others couldn't get a shot at.
