Anyone know where a place to camp in the toutle unit for the late archery elk this weekend?

I have private camping that lots of guys have used this year. I am about one mile from the start of the 4100 line. I charge $10.00 a night. PM me if intrested.

The 4100 and 4250 are the two mainlines. Wabd hell two most used.  Start there and you should get into some elk.

I'd second Wrongway's place.  Very close (as in probabably a mile or less) to the 4100 main gate and really private.  Good access, nice and flat too.  I'm sure, included in the price would be some great info on areas to try!!   :)

Is that a general late hunt or a special permit area? :dunno:

All the questions are good, but if you want a good elk hunt in the toutle you have to do your homework bro. All of your replies are true, but thats all youll find on the NE side, is guys everywhere on the elk youll never see. The map wdfw sent you is your key, match it up to google earth, look at the country, elevation change, mileage. Tons of clearcuts to hunt, find somthing secluded with fresh tracks and hunt it slow, sit on it, wind in your face. you might get lucky! Kalama river rd dead end is a toutle entrance that goes deep and has elk everywhere as well. Whatever you do, dont road hunt from your vehicle or blow elk calls all over the woods! Get out rain or shine and hunt like a man, like its your last supper, thats how youll kill your bull. And dont pass on small horns, STICK IT! And I will be waiting for1 of my 20 bulls i scouted to walk out 15 miles in... Good luck, stay safe
