Polish Tantal - AK74
« on: November 27, 2012, 03:22:18 PM »
Does anyone own one of these things that has a scope on it, or a red dot?
I've been looking online, and came across websites with pictures. Wanted to see if someone has actual experience.

Thanks

They are cool rifles. Basically when the NATO round 5.56 came out soviets wanted to match it. Therefor they created the smaller 5.45x39 round which the AK74 shoots. I believe development of the rifle started in the early 70s, and rifle was  adapted in 1974, hence AK74.

here is the link to the original

This is the Tantal, a polish copy of  it

I have the Tantal, and it's pretty sweet. Mine has an adjustable lengh AR stock, it looks a little of, but it's nice to be able to adjust it.
