Ive been hunting the lt for years and compared to the past the yptes just arent there this year. Ive hit it hard over the last three weeks and havent see a single coyote. :dunno:

In my personal opinion that isn't a bad thing. That is the number one reason I hunt them, to reduce their population.

Lot of people targeting them this year on the LT

I saw quite a few bird hunting over by Moses
Lake

Get there early before first light climb up a dune and glass when the sun comes up

There is tons of open ground in the Wenas.  ANything out sheep company and the many access points out the main Wenas road all the way to Ellensburg(right hand side of road).   Stuff on the left is either closed due to the wintering elk to vehicle and foot traffic.  NO ACCESS.   Once you get out on the Ellensburg pass road, the stuff to the left is closed to motorized but open to foot "for the most part"   Lots of public, some private.   Make sure you aren't hunting someones yard.   Ribka might not enjoy that.    As hard as sheep company is hunted I have coyotes funneling out past my place EVERY NIGHT.  I shot one in my yard with the longbow last week.

I have no reason to doubt that in some  time you looked out a window and saw someone hunting in your yard. :chuckle:   Its happened to me  TWICE.   One was hilarious.  A 16 year old kid jumping quail out of my corn patch, shooting over my house.   Since we have cut back on inflammatory swear words on here I can't really portray the sentiment I had.
