Thinking about moving to the eastside of the state

Only time I've ever had a gun pulled on me was in Yakima, by a gang banger. I wouldn't live in the valley if that were the last place on earth. 

You obviously have never hunted the Res, we get threats and guns pulled on us all the time there. NOT EXAGGERATING 1 bit, ALL THE TIME

I disagree 100 %. I've lived on the eastside for 12 1/2 years and have seen HUGE changes in gang activity in the basin. Spokane is now a miniature Seattle. Shootings, stabbings everyday.

I don't know if I'd go quite that far, but it is getting worse. There seems to be at least one armed robbery a day.

If you are gonna make a move and don't have to be anywhere specific for work, then I would keep going to Idaho or Montana. 

I know it's getting pretty wild in Spokane. Geeze, all I see on the news in the morning is shootings or stabbings, drivebys. It's still a nice town if you just keep an eye open and don't move into the crappy neighborhoods. South Hill is really nice.

if thinking about the basin area you might think about getting the resita stone language program so you can learn what "used" to be considered a foreign language. cant go anywere anymore without hearing a constant barrage of stuff you cant understand.

I used to only carry my ccw pistol at night, now my wife and I both carry everytime we leave the house. I am going to start driving trucks next year and we are going to move to Idaho or Montana then.

I retired from trucking and I've been pestering my wife to leave Washington and go to Arizona, but, she likes Idaho. Might have to change my mind. What kind of trucking, if I can ask Turkey ?

I moved to ellensburg from maple valley and never looked back , love it here , my kids go to school here good schools. Nice thing is your about 1 hr to 1.5 hr drive from bigger citys

Another area further east that I like is pomeroy wa , I know someone that is.selling their 40 acre farm , nice house , big barn , shop outbuildings , for $260,000 , lots of hunting there.

Truck driving is really fun. I only did OTR for 4 months with my truck, O/O and didn't like it myself. I started out learning to drive dump truck and pup 23 years ago and did that for 7 years. Good money in dump truckin' !!

I'd honestly go with Gordon Trucking out of Pacific Washington. You could live around I-90, I-84 or any major highway and work for them pretty much.

No prob. Running refer for Gordon is probably the best pay and you'll be busier more than any other division. I did the heavy haul because that's all I've ever done. Good luck.

Dump truck is the easiest work I have ever done. And I have done flat, hopper ,food grade tanker, fuel, refer, wrecker, doubles, super B, container, cattle, log, oversize, drop deck. Wow..... Im even impressing myself.... Ha.... OTR is the worst. The only way you can make money is to be gone... Its no life for a person that wants to have a family...
