Totally adicted to Gun Broker!
« on: January 13, 2013, 03:16:49 PM »
Anyone else like to use or frequent their site? That place is the greatest, I've tried to stay away but a guy can get some great deals if he's patient.

I've been watching it for some entertainment value.  Like $900 stripped lowers and $300 Bolt carrier groups.  I usually look for lever guns, but recently looked at the ARs since I plan on selling mine soon.

I frequent the site but I have never bought anything and don't think I will. If I wanted to go through the hassle of an FFL, why not just go to a gun shop? I much prefer to buy face to face if for no other reason than it ticks off the libs.

How many levers have you seen lately, Jimmy? I have been thinking about a .38/.357 lever action myself. Don't see many.

A good deal on a lever .44 Mag is on my list. If you can catch a auction at no reserve and get it low enough it's worth the shipping and FFL fee. A guy just needs to set his limit and stick with it, unless you loose your mind and absolutely have to have it.

I'm sure the economics makes sense. I just haven't done it before and I'm sure once I got in the swing of it I'd find it addciting as well.

When I bid on eBay, I only bid once, my max limit, right before the auction ends. You avoid that panic fever if you wait till the last second.

Use it quite often.  In fact just bought a vintage Browning 2x7 scope this afternoon.  Have also used GunsAmerica.  Never a problem on either site.

I'm picking up tomorrow a nice Euro Combo gun that I picked up very reasonable, 12ga over 222Rem. near new condition.  I shop Gunbroker, Guns America and Guns International because the things I look for aren't all that common.  Now the search begins for a nice drilling, I can afford.
After the first shot the rest are just noise.

Make mine a Minaska

Bought and sold thousands as a retailer. Not what the site was 4-5 years ago, but still a good way to shop/sell.

I have both bought and sold there. It's a great way to find the exact gun you want for a decent price. Seeing them advertise at many of the big sporting shows (shot show, SCI) makes you realize they are a well known and legitimate site, which is comforting since not all websites are.

That's because you're probably not looking for something specific, you just want a gun. Gunbroker comes in handy when you are looking for that exact model, say a Kimber ultra raptor II, or a smith and Wesson 329pd Alaskan backpacker IV. Maybe an older model Winchester lever action or ruger Deerfield carbine. That's where gunbroker comes in handy. Recently my dad had me help him find a cooper in 220 swift, those are pretty tough to find around here and 6 months or so lead time to order.

I look at it at least once a day. Buy most of my ammo there, Well before all this mess started anyway no tax and free shipping. I collect 7mm Rem. express (280 Remington I know) First gun I bought with my own money in 79' now collect all the different models along with the double stamped Mod 700RS 280/7mm EXP from 86' and GB is the best place to look Cabelas has them once in awhile and you can negotiate the price with Cabelas if you call the store selling the gun.
