Holster for 1911
« on: January 20, 2013, 09:51:03 PM »
Picked up a full size Ruger SR1911 .45 ACP and I'm wanting to use it as a carry pistol. Recommendations on holsters? I'm wanting it to be accessible but comfortable. Nice if it holds an extra clip also. Links are more than welcome ;)

Thanks

If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

Magazine? :chuckle:  Give me a couple weeks and I'll give you feedback on the simply rugged cuda.  I have one on order with some straps for iwb if I'm so inclined to do so.  I have a couple holsters from them which I highly recommend.  This will be the first for a 1911, which happens to be the SR1911.

Google Milt Sparks....call and order an  Versa Max-2.  The VM-2 is a strong side only, dual purpose, inside-the-waistband holster.  Probably a 6 month wait but worth it.   :twocents:

You might as well budget a few holsters. You need a pancake for those days in the summer when you wear shorts, and berry picking....and so on.
