pretty buck!  i have a set of antlers from a buck my dad shot when I was little that are VERY similar to this guy, with the addition of eyeguards.   :tup:

However I do believe that is bitterbrush.
If we were supposed to be vegetarian God would have made broccoli more fun to shoot!

You can call it mossyoak if you want to. :)  Its actually called Purshia tridentata, but in the country we refer to it as sagebrush.  :)

Yes it is Purshia tridentata, and the common name for western sage is, Artemisia tridentata. Also known as big bush sage. It is the most common sage in the west.
Purshia tridentata, is commonly known as antelope bitterbrush in central wa. We call it buck brush. It has a yellow bloom in the spring and my bees make lots of pollen off it. As far as deer forage it is only marginal as they prefer artemisia.

Purshia is not a sage.....yes some of the rest of us bone know our western plants :chuckle: :chuckle:
