Wow - you got around to quite a few beautiful places in 2012!

I like the Blue Grouse photos - they show the bird's habitat in a unique way.

Also, the first deer shot - the one with the spike by 2 - I like the depth of field and how that shows the background habitat.

My great, great grandfather built that chalet in Enchanted Valley and lived there as his first homestead.   Oh, the stories I have of that place.  From hauling a window 100 miles on horseback without it breaking, being attacked by a cougar, riding elk like a horse.

Very cool place.......

Wow - you got around to quite a few beautiful places in 2012!

:yeah:
I find that often times when photographers get a good lens they take all their photos with a wide open aperture for that classic blurry background photo. Often times that looks great but sometimes it's good to see the background and habitat the animals live in as well.

I love the photo with the alpine deer feeding with the clouds behind them in the valley!
